Druzy Shell Earrings - Fossil Seashell Earrings with Tourmaline in Gold - OOAK and Rare

0.00

This nicely matched set of OOAK druzy fossil shells is truly a rare find. I have received and sorted through hundreds of these shells and only found 4 such pairs. They are almost impossible to come by! I hope that whoever decides to purchase these will appreciate the incredible rarity and uniqueness of these beautiful fossils.

Let me start by saying that these crystallized fossil seashells are wonderfully shaped full shells, fully covered in mostly white druzy crystals and well matched... which makes them very rare. The Druzy shells measure 20.4x15mm and weigh 18.24 carats.

The lovely shells are wire wrapped entirely in 14/20 gold filled wire and crowned with AAA tourmaline rondelles in complimentary colors.

They dangle from very high quality gold filled, hinged lever backs that measure 15mm and the length of the entire earrings from the top of the lever backs to the bottom of the shells is 1.625 inches tall.

These earrings are very well made... by me, and will last a lifetime. Every stone used is AAA, and flawless and it's set entirely in 14/20 gold fill metal.

PLEASE feel free to convo me with any questions! THANK YOU FOR LOOKING!

I am particularly fascinated by these fossils, and keep researching about them. Here is some more information that I received have recently received: The shells are originally from a rare left-hand coil variety of gastropod that lived between 50 and 100 million years ago, when the Indian subcontinent was submerged under the ocean. They have been recovered from the Dhar region of Madhya Pradesh in central India. With great care each shell is removed by hand from rock. These shells were called Dakshinavarti in ancient Sanskrit - meaning the shell of a sea snail from the Indian Ocean, but one that has the very rare reverse-turning spiral. The Hindu, Buddhist, and Tibetan cultures revere the left-hand coil gastropods for their metaphysical powers.
