This is a stunning Toi et Moi ring (meaning “you and me” in French) that features two gorgeous gems - a GIA certified fancy yellow diamond and a natural, untreated teal blue Montana Sapphire. Together these two precious gems compliment each other beautifully with their colors and well matched proportions making them ideal for this design.
The elegant teal blue in the sapphire compliments the bright yellow from the diamond making them absolutely magical together. Then complimented by two side flowers and it's like two fairies dancing in a flower garden.
The Toi et Moi ring is one of the most romantic designs in history, dating back centuries but made famous in 1796 when Napoleon Bonaparte proposed to Joséphine de Beauharnais with a sapphire and diamond Toi et Moi ring. (on March 24, 2013 the ring sold in an Osenat auction in Paris for nearly $1M USD) You can see Joséphine’s ring in the last photo!
The band is a 1/2 inch wide, 14K solid yellow gold and the bezels and flower accents are 14K white gold. It still open and is sizable from about US size 5.5 to 9.
This diamond and sapphire ring is a one of a kind, handmade fine jewelry piece that is created from start to finish by me, and will last many lifetimes.
